So now I'm supposed to believe that Mark Foley is not only a pedophile, but also an alcoholic.
Whatever. Count me in the group that firmly believes this is just an excuse for GOP leadership to put Foley somewhere that reporters won't be able to hound him for interviews and where he can't act on any impulse to, oh, call up Barbara Walters or Oprah and tell all, Jim McGreevey style.
Without regurgitating it here, it'd also be worth your time to check out what The Note has to say about the whole matter, including quotes from anonymous sources, the only ones that'll say anything worthwhile about the affair.

The story is sickening, but your repetition of the topic is starting to look like an obsession the likes of Ken Starr on a witch hunt or a crazed addiction to the Jon Benet Ramsey story.
It might be worth your while to give it a rest, for a week or so, move on to other topics and come back with something insightful, witty or, if all else fails, something not so easy (read: lame).
You're right, I have indeed gotten caught up in the glee of a scandal that finally has shown Republicans to be just like the Democrats were 10, 15 years ago: arrogant power-brokers who will sweep any scandal under the rug while aggressively pursing their retention of the majority and little else.
You'll see from the above post that we're moving back to regularly scheduled programming. In this case, bashing Rob Kreibich.
