He likes labor so much that he appears to have dressed up as a union employee for Halloween! Isn't that precious? What better way to honor the hard work and contributions of union employees in Wisconsin than by dressing up as one! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery after all.
Who knew that all of you union employees couldn't spell, or wore jean jackets and farmer hats to work? Or stuffed pillows up your shirts?!? Not me! I, for one, am surprised by this!
I wonder if this is what Terry Moulton thinks of the union employees in his district? Has anyone asked him? Perhaps someone should! I mean, a staffer never really stops representing his boss, even on the Halloweens!
Also, did you know that RACC's got this guy working on behalf of a bunch of other Republican candidates too? I guess all Republicans must think that union employees are stupid and fat and carry coffee mugs and wear a lot of pins on their coats!
Happy Labor Day from the Recess Supervisor and friends. Back to the grind tomorrow.
(Update: At the request of an interested party, I have removed the original photograph and replaced it with a graphic representation of the original. I've concealed the visual identity of the offending party, blurred or cropped out those individuals in the background, and reduced the effective resolution of the photograph to discourage alternative usage. If this isn't sufficient protection I may have to resort to stick figure drawings, which will be sad for you and me both.
For the record, I will give the creator of the costume credit. Anyone who's had to deal with the assorted union types who visit the Capitol to harass - er, lobby legislators and staff knows that this portrayal is pretty damn accurate. When the year-end awards come out, this is a definite candidate for Best Visual Representation of a Union Thug by a Staffer or Legislator. Although it's still an exercise in remarkably bad judgment, especially when your boss sits at or near the top of the Democratic hit list.)

RS, just a couple of quick points.
1. Hilarious picture and actually, a very a acurate depiction of the less than civil AFSCME members who marched around the rotunda during the budget debate. They were a bunch loud mouthed thugs who do most of the rank and file members a real disservice and are the reason the public has the opinon they do of union workers.
2. Point 1 being made, what a complete idiot to pull a stunt like that when your boss is on the verge of losing an election in the blink of an eye. Yeah, these pictures never get out. Everything is always confidential around here. Moron. We all think it, but most of us are smart enough to keep it to ourselves because we don't feel like playing with fire.
3. In the end though, are you really surprised by any of this? The complete hacks at RACC have no idea what they are doing and appear to have learned no lessons from two years ago. RS, I have a feeling you know what is going on over there with some other interesting "developments" involving other members of the RACC brain trust, so the rest of us can just sit back and enjoy the show.
I'm not sure exactly what the first commenter means by "the public." I really haven't seen too many negative attitudes towards union workers outside right-leaning blogs. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if the majority of Wisconsinites actually wishes that unions were bigger and stronger.
Also, every indication thus far is that "the public," at least in a number of key assembly districts across the state, is poised to show that they at least partially agree with those very union members by throwing the Republicans they were protesting out of office.
I guess we have to cancel Halloween now.
Aw, come on RS, don't get all soft on us now. If this guy, let's call him "MS", wants to act like an idiot then he should be able to deal with the consequences.
Hey, I think this costume is freaking awesome, but seriously "MS", what are you thinking? Your boss is number one on ADCC's Most Wanted. Well, I think he was number two, but he's number one now. I think you can count on seeing some union folks doing lit drops in the Moulton race.
Now with the Smiley Face, you can't see the farmer hat any more.
:-(
Aw, I liked it better before. As far as lobbying (or harrasing depending on your point of view) at the capitol by these guys, this happened a lot less years ago. Unfortunately the party of Warren Knowles, Tommy Thompson, and Mike Ellis has morphed into the party of Steve Nass, Don Pridemore, and, God help us, Glen Grothman, and overheated rhetoric is the order of the day on both sides.
