Does someone want to get Miss Wasilla back on the reservation?

Talk about being off message. Someone tell her to wait a week, and then she can talk about this all she wants.

In an interview with ABC News' Elizabeth Vargas, the Republican vice-presidential nominee was asked about 2012, whether she was discouraged by the daily attacks on the campaign trail, and would instead pack it in and return to her home state of Alaska.

"I think that, if I were to give up and wave a white flag of surrender against some of the political shots that we've taken, that would bring this whole & I'm not doing this for naught," Palin said.

Because how many terms would a President McCain serve? Maybe they should repeal the term limit amendment and let him serve three?

(In other words, you're really stretching.)

The time to talk about 2012 is when 2008 is over. But who'd expect anything less from this hack?

What does it mean? "That would bring this whole?" Can you translate this?

Huh?

I find myself saying that a lot when I read quotes from her.

I've voted her off the island. I think she has equally helped and hurt McCain. The elitists and those who dont like her will say she hurt, Republicans in the know and who have been to the rallies will say she helped. Either way, this quote is ridiculous and sends the worst message on a day where McCain was getting "comeback" press up until about 4:30 (thanks Gov).

I'm not even going to talk about who I am supporting in 2012 because all I care about is working my butt off 5 more days for McCain.

And she's sharing the stage with Joe "the Plumber" Wurzelbacher. Do you suppose he'll be her running mate in 2012? After all, he has military experience (according to Miss Wasilla).

I know I'm biased, but I just don't see why Gov. Palin would be a top GOP contender in 2012 in anyone's mind but her own. Sure, she can recite the GOP's favorite talking points, but I don't see her being much deeper than that, and I just can't see her being more of a contender than someone like Mittens Romney.

One major reason she will be a serious contender is that over the next few years Palin will be the most prolific fundraiser for Republicans and conservative causes across the nation. That will help her build up a national network that she would need to run for Pres.

Also, she has been wildly popular among the activists in the party. The enthusiasm volunteers have had for her far surpasses McCain, or any other candidate who ran this year.

Things we need to remember though, when (not if) Obama wins and Doyle heads to Washington, we get the honor of Barb Lawton as our Governor. I never thought these words would ever come out of my mouth; but I wish we had Scott McCallum back. She makes McCallum look like a genius.

We note that Mitt Romney, a back-and-forthright fellow if there ever was one, is doing his damndest to submarine Palin.

IIRC, Romney attracted about 10% of the crowds Palin attracts.
