I have more to say about this whole Don Pridemore/Bill Savage "oopsie I didn't mean to send that campaign-related release on the state letterhead from my state email account and copy my coworker on his state account" debacle. But I think the bigger scandal may be that Don Pridemore can barely string three words together on his own without committing some grievous error in spelling or grammar. I'm just going to copy the whole thing for you and let you bask in its pathos. I'd also like to dedicate this post to my sixth-grade language arts teacher, Mrs. Yenchesky, who made me diagram all those sentences.
You know what, Don? I have no problem saying that you and your staffers are a bunch of hacks and idiots who've done nothing but cause problems for the caucus ever since your sorry ass got elected. My question is; are you?
“The leaders (of?) DPW should be spending their time figuring out a way to justify their upcoming role in raising taxes to the tune of 1.7 billion dollars. The already highly taxed families of Wisconsin are facing a proposed budget that will not only raise state fee’s (um, not possessive, just plural) and taxes through the roof, it will have a devastating effect on property taxes (improperly formed independent clause).
Furthermore, although Tony Evers is running for DPI superintendEnt, a non-partisan race (you run IN a race, you run FOR an office), they (to what does this pronoun refer?) should be careful not to drawn to much attention to a press release that outlines a few very good reasons that Wisconsinites should not vote for Tony Evers. The fact that Mr. Evers said no to an audit of one of the most costly programs (SAGE) in the school budget cannot be denied or defended. Let Mr. Evers explain why he would like to remove revenue limits and the QEO so that teachers are caught up in battles all over the state between taxpayers and WEAC.
In regards to the press release on Thursday, March 19, 2009, I have asked the Government Accountability Board (GAB) for an opinion and I stand ready to take responsibility for any wronging that the board finds ("wronging" is a transitive verb, not a noun. You can't find a verb.).
I have no problem defending my positions to the taxpayers of the 99th assembly district; my question is; are you?” (Aside from the improper use of the semicolon, WTF does this even mean?!?!?!)

Unfortunately, Don is from a district where anyone that can grunt "government bad, taxes bad" can get elected and reelected forever. Democrats have no chance there, and more capable Republicans won't run against the incumbant. But these press releases are amusing aren't they?
The answer is "99"...
What is: the number of Wisconsin Assembly districts, the number of Rep. Pridemore's district, and the cumulative IQ of he and his legislative staff?
GOP primary....anyone? Bucher?
Surely they can find some retired school secretary to run in that district. At least the press releases would be written in grammatically correct English.
Maybe the next representative from the 99th will actually have staff that show up to the Capitol to work once in awhile. Is that too much to ask?
Staff that shows up AND knows how to write? Imagine that!
Hard to believe that, before this trend of leggies just hiring hacks and friends from the district, those two things were sort of de facto job requirements. There are interns in that building that are way more talented than the staff and leggies who are supervising them.
And in the Pridemore office that intern could be a monkey throwing it's feces at the wall.
He should have started the release by admitting the mistake, contacting the GAB, accepting any punishment, and THEN launching into the Dems and WEAC.
But by doing the opposite, it reads like he’s trying to distract the reader, hide something, or perpetuate his stupidity.
Whatever the case may be, it's not good.
Dead on, Mr. Pants. I was speaking with some staffers who were familiar with the Jensen days, and all agree that it never would've been handled this way back then. What you suggested would've been way more likely. Pridemore would've put out some release condemning the act and denying his involvement, Bill Savage would've taken a week of unpaid leave as his punishment (a hazard of the job), and the whole thing would've been forgotten.
Pridemore's strategy of appearing defiant instead of remorseful is not playing well in the building, with the press, and it won't play well with the GAB either.
But the real question, Mr. Pants, is: are you?
Yes, I is.
"Bill Savage would've taken a week of unpaid leave as his punishment (a hazard of the job), and the whole thing would've been forgotten."
Doesn't one need to show up for work in order for one take a leave?
Are is am I?
We am too!
I have been told that the Pridemore office got their education by watching Cirroc in episodes of Saturday Night Live's Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer in the 1990s.
