On one hand, at least Sheridan never preached to us about how to run our lives. On the other hand, speculation is fun - just ask Jerry Bader. In fact, we should check Bader's website in about six hours. He'll probably have a post up about how he has it on good authority that the Speaker was having a clandestine relationship with Barb Lawton's husband.
Knowing leggies, their marriages typically fall apart because the leggie spouse ends up cheating on the non-leggie spouse. Often with a lobbyist, because really, being a legislator could only be sexy to someone else who is used to whoring themselves out. And why do lobbyists fawn over legislators? Usually because they want things.
Anyway, here's hoping some actual reporters sniff around this a little. Because from what I hear, what they might find could be very interesting.

I'm more interested in who Bader's so-called sources were.
Whoever they are, they did a fine job of pantsing Bader and destroying whatever meager shreds of credibility he had. I salute them.
RS, this is a disappointing post. By all accounts Mike Sheridan is a decent man whose marriage is simply ending, the whys are between him and his wife. You make snarky, vague insinuations that he's getting it from lobbyists and lazily say "the press should look into it." What, you have the same sources as Jerry Bader? Usually your cynicism is spot on, but this is just disappointing.
I think there was more to it than pantsing Bader. Let's not forget that Lawton took quite a shot too.

It's too bad that Republicans always feel so compelled to entertain their kinks with mistresses and hookers and stuff. There are plenty of women who will entertain all of that in the context of a healthy relationship.
