Give us some of that money!

As you might recall, the Canadians end their strike in exchange for $3,008 in gumballs and Bennigan's coupons which, depending on how recall-a-palooza turns out, might make Canadians $3,008 smarter than the unions and their Democratic senators.

Which Wisconsin Dem Senator played the role of Steve Aboutman? Miller, Jauch, Cullen, Hansen?

Given the chance, I think it would've been Jauch or Cullen, since both seemed to understand that the gumballs and the Bennigan's coupons were probably the best outcome they were going to get.

Miller, on the other hand, seemed obviously unwilling to relent on a core issue where his caucus had no hope of winning given its minority status. And so now at this point, they've got nothing to show for it but for an attempt to recall a bunch of GOP senators and the hope they can net three seats.

I guess we'll see in four or five months how that all turns out. But by that point, I'm also guessing the Walker budget will have sailed.

Had forgotten that episode was a word play on the TV Writers' strike.
